Frau's Oatmeal Waffles

Soak Overnight:

2 1/4 cup buttermilk (or regular milk + 2 Tbl lemon juice)

2 cups oatmeal

In the morning add:

1/2 cup flour

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

4 Tbl vegetable oil

2 eggs

Makes 6 servings

*If you want to make them right away, heat up milk for a few minutes in microwave and soak oats for +/- 30 min (or until most of the liquid is absorbed). Add remaining ingredients.

Pour ½ cup batter onto pre-heated waffle iron; Makes 6 servings.
